When we made the ORE-ANTS experiement, the ORE release was 0.3.2. In
May, we released the ORE 0.3.3 that includes all the ORE 0.3.2.
Moreover, it provides a new service API "JMIB" that is used to control
the Accelar forwarding plane.
ORE 0.3.3 is fully compatible with ORE 0.3.2. Actually, I generated the
ORE ANTS package (compiling) under ORE 0.3.3 and tested it under ORE
0.3.2.

I think, it really does not matter which host systems you use. By
contrast, we used the Sun workstations because they were ready for our
test and we did not have enough Linux boxes. The ANTS package is pure
Java, so you should have no problem in setting up the ANTS package on
Linux machines.
Please let me know if you have further questions.
