JFWD question.
Hi Rob,
I have finally put my prog. net hat back this morning. I attempted my
own oplet using the JFWD API. It was a very simple one to create an IP
filter in the Accelar.
The oplet compiled fine, I succesfully installed the jar file on the host
ore platform and the shell reported that the mapping was activated
. However when I loaded the same jar file on the accelar, I got an IP
filter exception when attempting to open a IpFilterAuthor, after which the
ore shell hangs.
Then I tried to just replace the IP address values in the jfwdtest oplet
that you sent to me,recompiled it and installed the jar file on the
Accelar I got the same error and the ore shell hangs too.
I am trying stuff as I am writing this down, at this point I tried to
include my Oplet in the start.properties and noticed that it worked
successfully i.e the ore shell did not hang and the mapping was activated.
Now how do I confirm that the filter is in there?
I have a MIB compiler + browser, I downloaded the rapid city mib file
compiled it and looked for the rcIpFilter entries but couldn't find the
one that I activated from the ORE platform. However when I set a filter
from the CLI then I can see the rcIpFilter entry.
I have ideas about a video service on my Prog. Network testbed, I will
send a detailed mail to bounce the implementation method off you guys
soon.
Cheers
Muneyb.
